The Beyond Aid Project is about empowering communities, adding value to natural resources, and creating sustainable livelihood for the vulnerable especially the youth and women
Beyond Aid is a social enterprise registered in Ghana, West Africa that trains local craftsmen and women to make its products. All products are hand-made from wild bamboo and other natural resources found various different areas in Ghana.
Our Why
We believe when we empower women and young people with skills to add value to natural resources in their localities, they will work hard to live beyond aid and poverty.
We identify the resource in a given community e.g bamboo, clay
We work wit the community to develop human resource capacity to add value to the resource
Establish craft villages targeted communities
Conduct training workshops in craft making
Guarantee incomes of beneficiaries of our programs through our buy-back policy
Our Impact
Beneficiaries
Beyond Aid has trained over 2000 craftsmen in 6 regions across Ghana (Eastern, Central, Western, Volta, Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions).
These craftsmen are gainfully employed because Beyond Aid guarantees markets for their products hence are assured of their incomes.

Product Designs
Beyond Aid has also successfully developed 15 Quality Product variations from Bamboo & Other locally available raw materials like straw, cane and rattan.
Research & Development is Ongoing for Additional 6 new products

We have bought over 1000 hand crafted bamboo products from beneficiaries and sold to individuals, corporate organisations.
